I recently had the pleasure of staying at Summercamp in Martha's Vineyard and it truly exceeded my expectations. the hotel's historic origins as a seaside hotel in the late 1800s are beautifully reflected in its rustic, retro decor - a nod to the island's Methodist camp destination roots. The charming front verandah overlooking the harbour, filled with Mod seating, was the perfect spot to relax and take in the picturesque views. the room, though cozy, was well-equipped with smart TVs, USB charging outlets, and premium bedding ensuring a comfortable stay. the small sink in the unusually small bathroom was a minor inconvenience in an otherwise delightful room. The Camp Canteen offered a variety of breakfast options and all-day snacks, perfect for grabbing a quick bite before heading out to explore the beautiful beaches and eclectic shopping in Oak Bluffs. We particularly enjoyed the hospitality stations with filtered water and sparkling water, a refreshing touch after a day of exploring. Overall, Summercamp provided a perfect blend of historic charm and modern amenities, making it an ideal choice for anyone looking to experience the quaint seaside town of Oak Bluffs. Whether paddleboarding along the barrier beach or simply relaxing on the terrace gazing at the sea, this hotel offers a truly memorable stay. I highly recommend it to fellow travelers seeking a unique and welcoming retreat on Martha's Vineyard.
